Laura has been working in the field of immigration law since 2004. As a staff attorney at the Central American Resource Center of Northern California (CARECEN-SF), Laura helped lead the successful campaign to pass the Due Process for All Ordinance in 2013, which sharply limits local enforcement entanglement with Immigration.

A native New Yorker, Laura is admitted to practice law in the New York Court of Appeals, Second Department and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
