Jacob Sierra

As a Sr. Intake Coordinator at Centro Legal de La Raza, Jacob coordinates with all departments and staff  to assist call-in and email clients and to receive individuals and families coming in for appointments and walk-ins. Jacob is also part of the Wellness Committee for Centro Legal.  

Prior to joining Centro Legal, Jacob was a volunteer as a Medical Assistant at which he provided medical screenings and medical exams to patients in the Bay Area. While working with the Street Level Health Project, an organization that honors the historical contributions of immigrant communities to create an inclusive society, Jacob was instilled with the value of safety net services, especially for the uninsured recently-arrived immigrant communities.

Jacob’s passion for working with the migrant community stems from his own experiences as the son and grandson of Mexican immigrants. He studied at Unitek College, where he trained and recognized as a certified Medical Assistant.
