Jesica joined Centro Legal in September 2015 as an Equal Justice Work Emerson Paralegal focusing on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA). Jesica graduated from U.C. Berkeley in Spring 2015 with a B.A. in Development Studies with a focus on Latin America. While at Berkeley, Jesica worked as an immigration intern at the International Rescue Committee in Oakland where she began her work with DACA and direct legal services. After interning at the IRC, she joined the National Immigration Forum in Washington, D.C. as the Integration Programs and Policy and Advocacy Intern. Jesica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the U.S. at the age of 7. She was granted DACA in 2013. Jesica is thrilled to be working with such a talented team at Centro Legal while pursuing her passion of serving the Latino immigrant community.
