Jacy Bowles

Post Release Accompaniment Project (PRAP) Coordinator

Jacy joined Centro in September 2016 as the coordinator of the PRAP program, which focuses primarily on releasing our clients from detention and reuniting them with family. She received a Bachelor’s in Sociology from San Francisco State University. During her time at SFSU she was a volunteer for Reading Partners in Hunter’s Point, where she was a one-on-one tutor for underperforming and ESL students. She has since become an active volunteer for the GSW Community Foundation. After briefly working as a Case Specialist for a problematic detention-alternative program post-college, she is thrilled to be a part of a program that focuses completely on advocating for recently-arrived asylum seekers and other undocumented populations.
